GRACE2 is free for non-commercial use. You can use is to make any application (game or otherwise) for free distribution. However, if the application made by you with GRACE2 Engine gives you any direct or indirect profit/income (including promotion of a product or a company, inside application transaction, product placement, linking to commercial sites or products, etc.), you must obtain the Commercial License. If you are not sure whether or not your application can be classified as free, please do not hesitate to contact us. Beyond that, no additional license is required. Just go for it.
GRACE2 is also free for educational use. No additional license is required for faculty or students. However, if an application created with GRACE2 Engine will give you any direct or indirect profit/income, you will have to obtain the Commercial License. Beyond that, feel free to use the engine, experiment with it and create anything that your imagination allows.
If you want to make money with any game created with GRACE2, you must obtain the Commercial License. Depending on the contract, you may then be given subsequent access to engine sources.
The above will also apply if you sell services or training, and distribute an application created with GRACE2 as any part of those, or if you use the application in any way with which to generate revenue, directly or indirectly (including promotion of a product or a company, inside application transaction, product placement, linking to commercial sites or products, etc.). In addition to your agreeing to the GRACE2 EULA, you are also required to sign the GRACE2 Commercial License.
If you want to obtain the Commercial License, please contact Tadeusz Zuber: firstname.lastname@example.org
If you will make any profit with your application, you will have to sign an individual Commercial License Agreement, and will also have to take into account that it is going to carry some additional but affordable costs, which are as follows:
- First 1000 (one thousand) copies sold are free of charge,
- Every copy sold beyond the first 1000 copies will be charged with 15% royalty.
Any agreement will be individually negotiated.
